OVERVIEW
The dual-gender Jimmy Choo store in Madrid’s trendy Barrio de Salamanca district features Christian Lahoude Studio’s standards for the brand such as marble, brass, glass, and gold mesh. The women’s fixtures are a palate of brass, pink, and grey while the men’s are black, red, and bronze. The materials play with the themes of transparency and opacity, and how the two elements interact with each other. The openness of the shelves and shoe displays allows the shoppers to see the energetic traffic of La Milla de Oro (the golden mile) outside.
The main floor leads the customers to a marble staircase which features a display unit that follows the stairs’ axis and holds the precious items of the collection which can be viewed from either side. The intimate made-to-order (MTO) area upstairs features a seating salon and a video screen which shows the MTO process.
