OVERVIEW
The Aïshti-Aizone store at ABC Verdun – a prime urban retail and entertainment destination in the center of Beirut – is the physical manifestation of a contemporary style, luxury, and casual modernity. Designed by the Christian Lahoude Studio, the 770 square meter dual gender store is rich in marbles, metals, and other natural, LEED certified materials. Perforated panels within the fixtures create layers of visual interest, drawing the eye to explore the space. Each side – men and women – have cozy, yet distinct fitting rooms. The women’s side is filled with gold metals and Carrara marble, the men’s side is designed with gun metal and Lava stone, dark grey marble.
OVERVIEW II
The cash desks, being the link between the two sides, look like modern sculptures made out of colorful Pocahontas marble. The meeting of style and sustainability in this design are clear within the space. Christian Lahoude and his studio director, Katharina Hoerath have developed sophisticated details, connecting floating shelves on marble walls, metal mesh column cladding, and integration of lighting in all fixtures.
