OVERVIEW
The dual-gender Jimmy Choo flagship in Tokyo’s upscale Ginza shopping neighborhood features a double height glass façade which provides a clear view into the double height main room. The illumination of the large backlit signage outside is followed through inside by a gold leaf covered ceiling. Christian Lahoude Studio’s standards for the brand can be found within the themes of transparency and opacity, and how the two elements play with each other. The concept also features such materials as marble, brass, glass, and gold mesh. The dual-gender shopping area is divided symmetrically. The women’s fixtures are a palate of brass, pink, and grey while the men’s are black, red, and bronze.
OVERVIEW II
The main floor leads the customers to a marble staircase which features a shelving unit that extends the height of the store and holds the precious items of the collection which can be viewed from either side. The tall shelving is paralleled by a double height mirror in the back that is divided by a graphic wall. The intimate made-to-order (MTO) area upstairs features a seating salon and a video screen which shows the MTO process. A circular bridal room completes the shopping experience on the second floor.
